_______________
Ophelia wanders in an airport searching for Hamlet. She can watch her past and future on information screens, randomly mixed with clichés-images of her destination, as governed by quantum laws. Can Ophelia change the course of her life?
Quantic Hamlet proposes a digital understanding of "Hamlet" by Shakespeare focused on Ophelia’s cue: « we know what we are but not what we can be ».
Crossed by a vast human diversity, airports are spaces of transit where circulate continuous flows of individuals without identity nor benchmarks and messages of standardized information which direct them. These non places are locations where can occur a feeling of depersonalization or derealization: the anonymous individual becomes the empty, atomized and hyper-excited body of the wave of the indefinite crow. Entering in the space of this video installation, the public is invited to think about his capacity and his position of acting participant in a globalized world.
