Born and working in Paris, Aliénor Vallet graduated in Humanities and Social Sciences and trained in show video technology at the CFPTS. She shoots and prints N&B photos from the age of 15. She founded the association Regards Entrecroisés Nord Sud in 2003 in which she initiated first documentary projects in West Africa, before doing the programming for the French Cultural Center in Brazzaville from 2005 to 2007. She met many Congolese artists, in particular the choreographer Boris Ganga, whose close collaborator she became as a videographer, artistic advisor or lighting designer of hir shows. She drew up his portrait in a documentary and made several dance films with her association renamed RegarDcultures in 2008. She also collaborates with the author and director Dieudonné Niangouna as a videographer on his play Le Socle des Vertiges (The Base of Vertigo) created at the Francophonies en Limousin in 2011 co-produced by Théâtre des Amandiers. In parallel, Aliénor is coordinating artistic programming for several cultural sites such as La Ferme du Bonheur in Nanterre and Le 6b in Saint-Denis. In 2014, she founded Artvidéo Lab with her new artistic project: a laboratory dedicated to video creation and interdisciplinary. She initiated and is curator of a festival dedicated to new filmic writing, Les Irrécupérables, and multidisciplinary meetings, La Semaine Floue, in partnership with Génie de la Bastille Gallery. She also develops a corpus of video works in 3 collections that are presented in many festivals and exhibitions around the world. She reconnects for a time with the video technology for the stage directors Jacques Osinski and Sanja Mitrovic before taking up the position of Head of the Culture Department of the French-Nigerian Cultural Center of Niamey at the end of 2019.
