In a closed space with barbed wires, men get ready for the inevitable. Their dark side will be up to metamorphosis and their dream will fly away...
As long as the devil exists... is a mythological fable on the confinement and a variation of the performance Le Socle des vertiges by Dieudonné Niangouna.
This film is the result of a look on the involvement of the actor’s body seen as self-abnegation. The ambition of this film is to make the audience feel, in the deepest of his flesh, the breathlessness of the confinement and the inevitable logic of spiral of violence which develops in bodies. It is inspired by The Brig by Jonas Mekas and Les Maîtres Fous by Jean Rouch.
